Gerald “Raphael” Coleman Sr., 62, a native and resident of Labadieville, La., died at Assumption Community Hospital in Napoleonville, La., Monday, April 7.
He is survived by his daughters, Debra C. Johnson and Dedra Coleman of Labadieville, Lisa C. Washington of Bertrandville, La., Lashanta Francis of Raceland, La., and Nancy Savage of Mississippi; sons, Gerald Coleman Jr., Reginald Coleman, Grant Coleman and Thomas Marshall, all of Labadieville; sisters, Marion Jones and Rosetta Anderson of Thibodaux, La., Virginia Butler of Labadieville, Angel Williams of Prairieville, La., and Verna Toussaint of Chicago; brother, Willie Coleman of Thibodaux; nine grandchildren; and numerous relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Coleman; his second wife, Ruth Coleman; his parents, Walter and Enola B. Coleman; two sisters; and one brother.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 12, at St. Phillip Baptist Church in Labadieville with a religious service to follow. He will be buried at the church cemetery.
Williams and Southall Funeral Home of Napoleonville is in charge of the arrangements.
