Geraldine “Gerry” Mary Faucheux Labat, 66, a native of Vacherie, La., and a resident of Crowley, La., died at 12:27 a.m. Sunday, June 15.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Raymond August Labat of Crowley; sons, Steven Labat of Houma, La., Paul Labat and fiancee’, Rachelle Hulin, of Duson, and Kevin Labat and wife, Chasity of Houma; daughters, Alison Dryden and husband, Bret, of Houma, Shirley LaFleur and companion, Steven Miller, of Crowley, Carolyn Bertrand and husband, Randy, of Estherwood, Tammy Arceneaux and husband, Donald Jr., Carla Bergeron and husband, Jason, of Houma, Pauline Hartsell and husband, James, of Lyons Point, and Mandy Richard and husband, Terrence, of Duson; brothers, Norman Faucheux and wife, Cindy, of Hammond, La., and Emile Faucheux Jr. and wife, Lana, of Vacherie; 17 grandchildren and one on the way; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emile Faucheux Sr. and Cecilia Waguespack Faucheux; and sister, Claudia Senft.
She was a homemaker and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church with mass to follow. She will be buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
