December 20, 2010Gilbert A. “Bert” Faucheux, 77, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010.
Mr. Faucheux was a devoted husband of 54 years, self employed and an avid fisherman. He was well-known and well liked for his outgoing personality. He leaves his family with a legacy of laughter and love.
He is survived by his wife, Winnie Rodrigue Faucheux; daughters, Rebecca “Becky” Toups and Nadine “Deany” Hebert; sons, Jeffrey and Jason Faucheaux; sister, “Millie” (Edgardo) Diaz; son-in-law, George; daughters-in-law, Tracy and JoAnn; seven grandchildren, Bambi, Trent, Cody, Ross, Rosalyn, Janson and Jessie; five great-grandchildren, Ally, Zaylee, Austin, Grace and Emily; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby Lagarde and Golbert Alfred Faucheux; two brothers, Randolph Sr. and Justin Faucheux; and two great-grandsons, Zander and Angel.
He is buried at St. Joseph Cemetery.
