Gladys Howard, 92, a resident of Gray, La., died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014.
Mrs. Howard was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Samuel Jr. and Michael Howard; daughters, Yvonne Garner, Laura Tucker, Betty Brown, Lorraine Howard and Beverly Matthews; 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Howard Sr.; parents, William and Louisa Barrow; sons, William Howard and Floyd Howard; brothers, Jack, Melvin Sr., Charlie, Lawrence Sr., William Sr., and Curtis Barrow and Walter Thomas; and sisters, Nettie Francis, Laura Miller and Sophia Reed.
