Lenten Gumbo served for 20 years, still going strong
March 19, 2010Gladys Joiner, 97, a native of Morgan City, La., and resident of Patterson, La., died at 12:10 a.m. Friday, March 5, 2010, at Patterson Healthcare Center.
She is survived by nephews, Frank Garrett of Berwick and Robert Shaw of Houston; and a host of relatives.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and her parents.
Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, March 12, at Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Morgan City. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the church.
She will be buried at Morgan City Cemetery.
