Double murder being investigated by authorities

Gloria Ward, 50, a native and resident of Napoleonville, La., died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012.
Mrs. Ward was a former aide at Heritage Manor in Napoleonville.
She is survived by her husband, Nathan Ward Jr.; sons, Leroyal, Larry, Wendell, Nathaniel and Nathan Batiste; daughters, Keira and Renell Batiste; father, Ernest Batiste Jr.; brothers, Leonard and Johnnell Batiste; sisters, Lillie Davis, Debra Whitaker and Wanda and Linda Batiste; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Batiste; brother, Lionel Batiste; sister; Stacy Batiste; and son, Lorenzo Batiste.
Burial was at Virginia Baptist Church in Ewellville, La. (Williams & Southall)
