Gregory Young Sr., 54, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Monday, February 23.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Young of Baton Rouge, La.; son, Gregory Young Jr. of Baton Rouge; sisters, Brenda Montgomery and husband Talmage of Detroit, Mi., Patricia Young, Mona Young, Amanda Payne, Penny Robertson and husband Raymond, and Sybil Douglas and husband Graham, all of Houma; brothers, Prince Young Jr. and wife Evelyn of Detroit, Hanson Young and wife Beverly, Randolph Young, Jerome Young, and Glenn Picou, all of Houma; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Prince and Rebecca Young; grandparents, Charles and Emma Harvey Miller and Carrie Davis; and one grandson
He was a member of Greater St. Matthews Baptist Church. His hobbies included cooking.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, February 28, at Greater St. Matthews Baptist Church in Houma with a religious service to follow. Burial will be at Southdown Cemetery in Houma.
Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
