Helen Farve Griffin Burnham, 75, a resident of Mississippi and a native of Houma, La., died Thursday, November 13.
She is survived by her husband, Melvin Burnham; son, Frank Capitano; five daughters, Patricia Boquet and companion Mike, Elmire Ledet and companion Floyd, Romana Guidry and companion Norman, Viola Dupre and companion Mamie, and Jenny Lathrop and companion Bambi; brother, Jimmy Fabre; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Aledia Parks Farve; adopted parents, Thomas and Viola Plaisance Griffen; daughter, Gwendolyn Picou Farmer; brothers, Percy, Randolph, Johnny, Willie, Joseph and Allen Fabre; sisters, Marie Lecompte, Louise Parks, Alva Dardar, Genevieve Bray, Juliette Naquin and Pearl Leco.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, November 17, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma with services to follow. She will be buried at Rogers Cemetery.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
