Henry Clay Clement, 87, a native of Crayton, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, Sept. 10.
He is survived by one daughter, Bobbie Clement Barton and husband “Rabbit” of Houma; two sons, Richard Clement and wife Donna of Prairieville, La., and Keith Clement and wife Mary Ann of Prairieville; five grandchildren, Kelly Barton Theriot and husband Stephen, Stephanie Barton Maxwell, Scott Barton and wife Leslie, Ricky Clement and wife Kristen, and Carey Clement; four step-grandchildren, Erin Jones, Lynsey Pippen and Morgan and Alisha Williams; nine great-grandchildren, Ashley and Michael Clement, Cohen Jones, Tate Maxwell, Adele and Henri Theriot, and Juliana, Genevieve and John Avery Barton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Olivier Clement; parents, Henry Clement and Caroline Bonvillain Clement; one sister, Madge Gaston; and one step-sister, Netti Clement Callahan.
He worked for Texaco for 40 years. He was Catholic and a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.
Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
