Henry Joseph Dardar, 85, a native of Isle de Jean Charles, La., and a resident of Pointe-Aux-Chenes, La., died Monday, November 17.
He is survived by his wife, Ada Billiot Dardar; four sons, Gary Dardar, Jerry Dardar and wife Terri, Terry Dardar and wife Patti, and Adam Dardar; five daughters, Shirley Aucoin and husband Terry, Bertha Pitre and husband Harry, Julia Miranda and husband Jose, Henrietta Simoneaux and husband Dale, and Jackie Bryan and husband Michael; one brother, Michel Dardar; one sister, Rita Falgout; 25 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Dardar and Marie Naquin Dardar; one daughter, Ada Ann Dardar; two brothers, Augustine Dardar and Etienne Dardar; and two sisters, Alexina Dardar and Jeanne Billiot.
He was a beloved husband, father and PaPa. He was a longtime fisherman and a member of the Knights of Columbus No. 8616.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, at The Father’s House Church in Pointe-Aux-Chenes and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, November 20, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Montegut, La. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Point-Aux-Chenes.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
