Hester Brown, 92, a native of Houma, La., died in Atlanta, Ga., Friday, April 25.
She is survived by her grandsons, Carey Jasper and Gregory Jasper of Atlanta; granddaughter, Demetrius Franzier and husband Wilfred of Harvey, La.; great- grandchildren, Gregory, Maketha and Blair; and sister, Willie Mae Douglas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Brown; daughter, Doris Jasper; parents, Gus and Eva Hill Brown; five brothers; and five sisters.
She was a retired cafeteria worker in for Terrebonne Parish School Board. She was a member of New Rising Sun Baptist Church
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, May 2, at New Rising Sun Baptist Church with the funeral to follow. She will be buried at the church cemetery.
Community Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
