Hewitt Peter Lirette, 71, a native and resident of Chauvin, La., died Sunday, Aug. 30, at 9:06 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Dale Martin Lirette of Chauvin; one son, Jonathan Peter Lirette; one brother, Julius Lirette and wife Dorothy Lirette; one sister, Helen Bonnette and husband Kirby Bonnette; and three nieces, Sheryl Martin, Brittany Martin and Kirshel Thibodeaux
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dutrell Lirette and Josephine Bergeron Lirette; two brothers, Roy and James Lirette; and six sisters, Delta Domangue, Isma Griffin, Velma Neil, Beverly Lirette, Yvonne Blanchard and Dorothy Lirette.
He was a member of God’s House of Refuge.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, and 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, at Chauvin Funeral Home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
