Hubert Broussard

Father Hubert Broussard, 87, a native of Edgard, La., died at 9:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012.

Father Broussard was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. After his discharge, he furthered his education and completed studies in theology at Notre Dame Seminary. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1952 and served in several area churches over his career. His last assignment was St. Ann in Bourg, La., after which he became Chaplain at Terrebonne General Medical Center in Houma, La. When he reached 65 he retired.

He is survived by his brothers, Meryl (Alice) and Marion (Virgie) Broussard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Julia Broussard; and sister, Joyce.

Burial was at St. John Catholic Church Cemetery. (Landry’s)
