Irene “Denie” Breaux, 94, a native of Napoleonville, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died at 1:46 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2011.

She is survived by her sons, Noé (Audrey) and Leonard (Melissa) Breaux; daughters, Mildred Sevin, Rosalie (Allen “Cou”) Frederick and Mathilde (Clyde) Hebert; daughter-in-law, Sandra “Cindy” Breaux; 14 grandchildren, Kevin, Kenneth, Kerry, Arlene, Amy, Robert “Bobby,” William “Billy,” David, Margaret, Wendy, Wanda, Kirk, Carla and Libby; 20 great-grandchildren, Beckie Jo, Beau, Jessica, Lexie, Reid, Spencer, Brody, Samantha, Jamie, Logan, Derrian, Damon, Shelbie, Ridge, Lauren, Collin, Grant, Carly, Meah and Evan; and two great-great-grandchildren, Kynzli and Jace.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Noah Anthony Breaux; her parents, Robert and Julia Barbier LeBlanc; one son, Ivy Joseph Breaux; her son-in-law, Joseph Sevin Jr.; three brothers, Fred, Robert and Felix LeBlanc; and two sisters, Hazel Van Kregten and Sybil David Hotard.

Special thanks to Lafourche Home of the Aged and Journey Hospice and all of their staffs.

She is buried at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery. (Thibodaux)
