Isadore J. Rodrigue, 84, a native of Chackbay, La., and a resident of Thibodaux, La., passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness Thursday, Sept. 24.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Maisie Terracina Rodrigue; two daughters, Gwen Melancon and husband Danny of Baton Rouge, La., and Lisa Knight and husband Greg of Thibodaux; one son, Mitch and wife Deidi Chatagnier Rodrigue of Hattiesburg, Miss.; one sister, Claudia Pitre; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Amanda Peltier Rodrigue; seven brothers, Louis, Clebert, Jessie, Ozemy, Freddie, Simon and Typhy Rodrigue Sr.; and five sisters, Louisa Rodrigue, Evelyn Steinwinder, Marianne Falgoust, Jean Pitre and Fumae Rodrigue.
He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Thibodaux with mass to follow. Burial will be at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
