Isaiah “Zeke” Anderson Jr., 68, a native of New Orleans, La., and a resident of Baton Rouge, La., died Sunday, June 8, at Baton Rouge General Hospital.
He is survived by his daughter, Toneka Gatlin of McComb, Ms.; sisters, Shelia Gurley and Yvonne Hamilton both of Baton Rouge; brothers, Melvin, Eddie, Bobby, Charles, Henry, Nathaniel and General Gurley all of New Orleans; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elnora Gurley and Isaiah Anderson Sr.; son Ronald Key Bruce; sister, Barbara Gurley; brother, Anthony Gurley; and grandparents, Charles Jones and Victoria Jones.
He was Baptist. His hobbies included playing bingo and driving taxi cabs.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, June 14, at Pilgrim Progress Baptist Church in New Orleans with a religious service to follow. He will be buried at Providence Cemetery in New Orleans.
Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
