Thibodaux Chamber hosts awards banquet
January 19, 2010J. Bruce Pagliughi, 87, a native of Lockport, La., and a resident of Golden Meadow, La., died Friday, Jan. 15, 2010 at 3:40 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Terrebonne Pagliughi; sons, Peter (Maureen) and Charles Pagliughi; daughters, Charlene (Thomas) Stein, Victoria (William) Dvorak, Angela (Joseph) Wade and Jane (Lee) Callais; sister, Maxine Kolb; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Nora Badeaux Pagliughi; daughter, Mary Brisendine; and brother, Msgr. Charles Pagliughi.
He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church where he was a member of the Holy Name Society. He was a 4th Knight of Columbus, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a board member for Selective Service and Council on Aging. He was a member of the American Legion, the Golden Meadow Volunteer Fire Department and Alderman for Golden Meadow. He was on the board for the Lafourche Parish Fire District.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 18, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church with the funeral service to follow. He will be buried at the church cemetery.
