James “Jimmy” Dies Sr., 77, a native and resident of Napoleonville, La., died at 6:58 p.m. Sunday, June 8.
He is survived by his son, Jimmy Dies Jr. and wife, Lisa; daughters, Diane B. Breaux and Desiree D. Posey; daughter-in-law, Lee A. Dies; brother, Ray Dies; sisters, Mildred Dufrene, Lois Arceneaux, Audrey Thibodaux and Flo Dies; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph “Tony” Dies and wife, Augustine Falcon Dies; son, David A. Dies; son-in-law, Joseph “Joe” Breaux; brother, Gilbert Dies; and sisters, Edna Knight and Pauline Dies.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, June 12, at Landry’s Funeral Home in Labadieville, La., with a religious service to follow. He will be buried at St. Elizabeth Catholic Cemetery in Paincourtville, La.
Landry’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
