James McPherson

James “Superman” McPherson, 79, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010.

Mr. McPherson was a U. S. Army Veteran and he enjoyed playing his harmonica.

He is survived by his wife, Johnnie Mae McPherson; brothers, Ben (Laura) Adams, and Donald (Earline), Anthony (Tomellar) and Roy (Willie Bee) McPherson; sisters, Mercedes M. Jackson, Carolyn M. Wells and Janice (Marvin) Crokett; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen Adams and Austin McPherson; seven brothers, Clarence Adams, and Freddie, Austin Jr., Roland, Edward, Lionel and Douglas McPherson; grandparents, Lewis and Rebecca Adams, and George and Olivia Porche McPherson.

He is buried at Crescent Farm Cemetery.
