James “Jim” Hugh Smith, 72, a native of Morgantown, Indiana and a resident of Houma, died Friday, July 6, 2007 at 3:45am.
He is survived by his wife, Imogene Jeffers Smith; three sons, James Smith and his wife Venita, Frank Smith and his wife De Ann, and Randy Smith and his wife Terri; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Smith and Elizabeth Shepard Smith; one daughter, Katherine Smith; one brother, Robert Smith; and five sisters, Patsie Harris, Edna Wilkerson, Margaret Poore, Nellie Pipper and Loretta Slavens.
Visitation is Wednesday, July 11, 2007 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm, with the funeral to follow at Chauvin Funeral Home. He will Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery in West Terre Haute, Indiana, at a later date.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
