James “Jim” Warren Borne, 63, a native of Franklin, La., and resident of Centerville, La., died at 11:15 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011.


Mr. Borne was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for hunting, fishing and spending time at the camp with his family. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He will be deeply missed.


He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Arlene Borne; sons, Scott (Millie), Jason (Brandy) and Jonathan Borne; brother, Manville Borne Jr.; sisters, Leeann Pontiff and Gail Hebert; granddaughter, Madelyn Borne; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Manville Sr. and Hazel Borne; and brothers, Phillip, Jerry and Allen Borne.

Visitation will be 6 to 10 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, and 8 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at Ibert’s Mortuary. (Ibert’s)
