Jeannette Ganier Hartzog Maddox, 71, a native of Wisner and a resident of Houma, La., died at 2:48 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2.
She is survived by her husband, Carl Maddox of Houma; two sons, Jeffrey Wayne Cargil, and wife Danette of Baton Rouge, La.; and Don Maddox and wife Johnnie of Jackson, Ms.; two daughters, Terri Davis of Phoenix, Az. and Sandra Kuhn and husband Tom of Midland, Tx.; two brothers, Truman Hartzog of Clendenin, W.V. and Joseph C. Hartzog of Lafayette, La.; two sisters, Linda Demares and Bobbie Cheramie of Houma; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Cullin Hartzog and Sitha Alma Thornhill Hartzog.
She was a retired accountant with Richard Restaurant Supplies and a parishioner of First Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the First Baptist Church of Houma Building Fund are preferred.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, and 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 6, at Chauvin Funeral Home with a religious service to follow. She will be buried at Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
