
Haiti’s hardship helped by local charities

February 15, 2010Jenny B. White, 73, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Gray, La., died at 2 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010.
Mrs. White was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
She is survived by her husband, Sylvester White; sons, Sylvester Jr. (Sharita Bonvillain) and Bruce (Lorraine Ledet) White; daughters, Sylvia (Samuel) Smith, Kimberly (Floyd) Sims and Katrina (Perry) Snapp; brothers, Isaac Matthews, Albert Jackson, Roosevelt and Reuben Thomas, Jim Adams and Willie Matthews; sisters, Lucille Williams, Beatrice Scott, Annie Jackson, Audrey Douglas, Violet Horton, Mimi-imah Shabazz, Marguerite Willis, Ruth Peters, Hesea May Gray, Betty Williams, Joyce Hanzy, Hattie Franklin, Lucy Scott, Julia Gasery and Rosetta Brown; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim Willis and Viola Celestine; an infant grandson; and sister, Louise Williams.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
