Jerry Peter Templet Sr.

Jerry Peter Templet Sr., 77, a native of St. Charles Community, La., and a resident of Choctaw, La., died Monday, April 27, at 10:31 a.m.

He is survived by his wife, Sally Benoit Templet; sons, Jerry Templet Jr. and Josh Templet and wife Lanita; daughters, Faith Prows and husband Keith, Michelle Tabor and husband Jude, Lisa Templet and fiance Nolan Fitch, Jessica Navarre and husband Rory, Louise Haslam and husband Michael and Charisse Templet; brothers, Robert, Alvin and Norman Templet; sisters, Norma Hubble, Vivian Chauvin and Lorraine Iron; grandchildren, Cassie Templet, Kandice Templet, Zachary Ordoyne Sr., Liam Prows, Adam Templet, Seth Templet, Tony Tabor, Todd Tabor, Justus Tabor, Jacob Tabor, T.J. Richards, Roaman Richards, Victoria Boudreaux, Eric Verdin Jr., Megan Callais, Joshua Navarre, Kaitlyn Navarre, Ashley Haslam, Saylee Haslam and Candace Densereaux; and great-grandchildren, Mariah Templet, Jamie Thibodaux, Dru Dilsarer, Maghen Ordoyne, Zachary Ordoyne Jr., Jayden Verden, Jaycie Verden, Jaylyn Guidry, Braxton Tabor, Aleiha Tabor and Amie-Lee Templet.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvia Paul Templet and Oceania Galliano; and granddaughter, Meagan Ordoyne.

He was the grounds supervisor for 27 years at Nicholls State University. He was known for his humor and hard work. He was a devoted, loving, and caring husband, father, and grandfather.

The funeral service was Thursday, April 30, with burial at St. James Chapel Cemetery in Choctaw.
