Chabert staff worry about community loss
February 16, 2012Jesse Joseph Bertinot Sr., 71, a native of Lafayette-Houma, La., and resident of Gray, La., died at 1:08 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, 2012.
Mr. Bertinot enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, the New Orleans Saints and most of all spending time with his grandchildren. He was Catholic.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Bertinot; mother, Lucille Bertinot; sons, Jesse Bertinot Jr., Brady (Donna) and Kelly Buquet; daughters, Kristi (Lee) Schieffler and Katie Bertinot; brothers, Berchman, Eby Jr. and Nelson Bertinot; sisters, Janelle Martin, Drucilla Landry and Emily Eschette; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eby Bertinot Sr.; and brothers, James and Robert Bertinot.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at Samart Funeral Home in Houma, La., with services to follow. (Samart)
