Thibodaux church finds its place after 10-year expansion
January 12, 2010Jessie Mae “Mommie” Jackson, 78, a native and resident of Labadieville, La., died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010.
Mrs. Jackson was a retired cook for Nubby Ducks in Labadieville.
She is survived by son, Norman Jackson Jr.; daughters, Beverly Washington and Andrea (Kenneth) Meads; sisters, Laura Holloway, Jacqueline Cheatham, Donna Smith, Linda (Louis) West and Audrey Johnson; sister-in-law, Elouise Cheatham; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Jackson Sr.; parents, Irvin and Mary Cheatham; daughter, Terry Jackson; eight brothers; and four sisters.
She is buried at St. Philomena Catholic Church in Labadieville.
Williams and Southall Funeral Home of Napoleonville is in charge of arrangements.
