Jimmy Romero Sr., 74, a native of Youngsville, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Friday, September 26, at 5 a.m.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jeanne Olivier Romero; one son, Jimmy Romero Jr.; three daughters, Michelle and husband Troy Boudreaux, Denise and husband Pete Toups, Renee Romero and companion Danny McElroy; one sister, Barbara and husband Hilton Richard of New Iberia, La.; five grandchildren, Brandon Ables of Mississippi, Kayla, Troy Jr. and Haley Boudreaux of Chacahoula, La. and Caleb “Dude” Romero of Houma; two step-grandchildren, Lori and Michael Toups and wife Melanie; and three step-great-grandchildren, Evan, Madeline and Dylan Toups.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adet Romero and Levie Hulin Romero Gachassin; and his step-father, Wilfred Gachassin.
He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. He worked for Standard Supply and retired after 40 years. He loved to spend time with his family very much.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday, September 29, at the Falgout Funeral Home chapel with the funeral services to follow. He will be buried at St. Francis de Sales No. 2 Cemetery.
