John Brewster Ellis Sr., 83, a native of Attleboro, Mass., and resident of Houma, La., died at 10 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2007.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He is survived by two sons, Bob Ellis and wife, Mary, of Arlington, Tx., and John B. Ellis Jr. and wife, Corine, of Bayou Black, La.; one daughter, Lauren E. Naquin and husband, Jody, of Houma; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Butcher Ellis; his parents, Robert Russell Ellis and Bertha Seymour Ellis; and one brother, Warren Ellis.
He was self-employed of Ellis and Smitty Auto Repairs and a member of the Masonic Unity Lodge No. 267.
He was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
