John P. Levron, Sr. passed away Wednesday, December 10, at the War Veterans Home in Reserve, La., at the age of 82.
John was a life long resident of Schriever, La. He served in the Army for 10 years and was a sergeant at the end of his tour. He was a World War II veteran and received several Medals of Honor while serving.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Eunice Simoneaux Levron. Together they have four children, John Peter Levron, Jr., husband of Katrina B. Levron, Linda L. Blanchard, wife of Larry Blanchard and Alice L. Blanchard; one brother, Rodney Levron; one sister Stella Peltier; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Mr. Levron was preceded death by his son Larry Levron; his parents; four brothers; and one sister.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday December 13, at St. Joseph Co- Cathedral in Thibodaux, La., with mass to follow. Burial will be at St. Bridget Cemetery.
