John Horace “Lil Deeze” Verret, Jr., 25, a native and resident of Houma, La. died Wednesday, October 24, 2007, at 2:00 a.m.
He is survived by his mother, Barbara Plake; his step-father, Mickey Ledet; one son, Michael Bebe; two daughters, Heaven Amanda Frickey and Dajah Singleton; one brother, Shane Joseph Verret and his wife Crystal; one step-brother, James Brandon Sederas; two sisters, Shonalee Naquin and her husband John and Yvonne Mayo and her husband Darin; two step-sisters, Nikki Ledet and Maddy Mayo; three nephews, D.J. Mayo, Tate Mayo, and John Naquin, Jr.; three nieces, Courtney Verret, Hailey Verret, and Kierstin Guidry; and his maternal grandmother, Shirley Crochet.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Horace Verret, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Wilfred and Rose Albertine Verret; maternal grandfather, Aubrey LeBlanc, Sr.; and one sister, Amanda Lee Marie Verret.
John was a devout Christian and was a member of Living Word Church. He loved his children, family, computers, writing music, and rap.
Visitation is Monday, October 29, 2007, from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at New Life Fellowship. He will be buried in St. Louis Cemetery.
Falgout Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
