Up Close: Ellender basketball coach shares secrets of success

Johnny Pellegrin, 92, a native and resident of Lockport, La. died Monday, December 10, 2007 at 9:30 a.m.
He is survived by his three sons, Guy Pellegrin, Johnny Pellegrin, and Theodore “Ted” Pellegrin; one daughter, Veronica Wilden; two brothers, Hursman Pellegrin and Raymond Pellegrin; two sisters, Noeline Plaisance and Mary Dantin; 13 grandchildren; and many great and great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Noeline Adams Pellegrin; her parents, Oville and Leona Pellegrin; and one sister, Mabel Ledet.
Johnny was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Holy Savoir Catholic Church.
Visitation is Wednesday, December 12, 2007, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., with the funeral to follow at Holy Savoir Catholic Church. He will be buried in the church cemetery.
