Joseph “Boy” Loveless Verdin, 71, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and a resident of Dulac, La., died at 6:27 a.m. Saturday, August 16.
He is survived by his wife, Emily Fazzio Verdin; four daughters, Donna Verdin, Gail Duthu and husband Chris, Karen Billiot and husband John, and Deana Aycock of Houma; one brother, Roy P. Verdin and wife Marlene,of Dulac; two sisters, Rita Verdin of Dulac and Dorothy “Sue” Billiot of Lafayette, La.; 12 grandchildren, Christy, Kenny, Nick, Dugan, Keith, Jeff, Jenna, Angele, Chumpy, Alesha, Kim and Clara; and 11 great-grandchildren, Tristan, Kyle, Emily, Paige, Chrislyn, Jonathan, Aylana’, Bryson, Khiya, Jeffry and Liam.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul E. Verdin and Stella Lodrigue Verdin; and one brother, Wilbert Verdin.
He was a retired fisherman and parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church
Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday, August 18, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 19, at Chauvin Funeral Home with Liturgy of the Word to follow. He will be buried at Holy Family Cemetery.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
