Joseph “Bubba” Smith, 65, a native and resident of Gibson, La., died Thursday, September 25.
He is survived by his wife Annette Moore Smith of Gibson; two sons, Brian Smith of Texas and Cory Smith of New York; four stepsons, Wayne Moore of Gibson, Cory Moore of Thibodaux, La., Timmie Moore of Gibson, Perry P. Moore of Patterson, La.; three stepdaughters, Shew Nell Moore of Thibodaux, Gail Moore of Gibson and Dina Pitt of Thibodaux; one sister, Alicta Prester of Philadelphia, Pa.: two brothers, Frank Smith and C.F. Smith both of Morgan City, La.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Carrie Mitchell Smith; one brother, Dave Smith; and one sister, Joyce Mae Smith.
He was Baptist. He enjoyed fishing.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday October 4, at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Gibson with a religious service to follow. He will be buried at the church cemetery.
Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
