Haiti’s hardship helped by local charities

February 15, 2010Joseph Hunt, Sr., 69, a resident of Lafayette, La., and a native of Centerville, La., died at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010. at Our Lady of Lourdes in Lafayette.
He is survived by his wife, Lee Esther Hunt of Centerville; sons, Joseph Jr. of Jeanerette, Alton of Franklin and Brandon Hunt of Lafayette, and Jeffery Banks of Verdunville, La.; daughters; Juanita Hunt and Judy Fontenot, both of Franklin, La., Susan Jones and Balladette Riles, both of Lafayette, and Stephanie Banks of Verdunville, brother; Abram Hunt Sr. of Lafayette and Faviola Williams of Katy, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Joseph is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
He is buried at Golden Queen Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted to Jones Funeral Home of Franklin, La.
