July 11, 2012Joseph L. “Joe Lee” Taplett, 87, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Monday, June 25, 2012.
Mr. Taplett was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran. He was a member of Howard Third Zion Travelers Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Augustine (Harold Jr.) Kuntz; brother, Peter Sr. (Evelyn) Taplett; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Taplett and Sadie Ringgold; brothers, Leroy and Belton Jr. Gauno; and grandparents, Arthur and Edie Taplett and Osborne Jr. and Artemise Ringgold.
Burial was at Crozier Cemetery. (Gertrude Geddes Willis)
