Joseph Oneil “Rocky” Lassere, 66, a native and resident of Vacherie, La. died Monday, November 12, 2007.
He is survived by two sons, Emery Lassere and Gasper “Gabby” Lassere; two daughters, Amy Mike and Wendy Guidry and her husband Michael; two brothers, Eugene and Adam Lassere; five sisters, Lorrane Kramer, Loretta Chenier, Ella Mae Chenier, Therese Mars, and Gilda Morvant; eight grandchildren, Brandon, Gabriel, and Christyn Lassere, T.C. and Sonny Keplinger, Cheyenna Willis, and Shelby and Brandon Guidry; and one great-grandchild, Layton Guidry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marie and Oneil Lassere; one son-in-law, Joey Mike; and one daughter-in-law, Michelle C. Lassere.
Joseph was retired from Local No. 60 Plumbers and Steamfitters. He devoted his last eight years to Amy’s Country Candles serving vendors throughout Louisiana.
Visitation is Thursday, November 15, 2007, from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Vacherie. He will be buried in the church cemetery.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
