December 22, 2009Josiah Michael Freeman, 26, a native and resident of Chauvin, La., died Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, at 11:35 a.m.
He is survived by his parents, Todd and Marie “Patrice” Foret Freeman; grandparents, Earl and Mazie Freeman and Melvin “Pye” and Dolores Foret; uncles, Laddie (Karol) and Donnie (Kari) Freeman and John (Bridgette) Foret; aunts, Larke (Kenneth) Cenac, Wendy (Charles) Black, Christy (Riley “Toby”) Talbot and Lori Aspinall; numerous cousins; and godchild, Jaelyn Guidry.
He is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Percy and Rita Foret, Abbie and Annis Freeman, Allen and Iola Pitre and Aline and Macon Stringer; aunt, Johanna Stringer; and uncle, Charles Foret.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Catholic Charities of Houma are preferred.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Dec. 8, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Samart Funeral Home of Houma. A memorial Mass will be held Thursday, Dec. 10, at 9 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin.
