Joyce Freeman Cunningham, 78, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Monday, December 15, at 5:20 p.m.
She is survived by her son, Torris Cunningham of Houma; daughters, Blanche Melerine and husband Keith of Houma, Cathy Green and husband Lee Jr. of Houma, and Darlene Skouby and husband Iver of High Ridge, Mo.; brothers, Earl Freeman of Montegut, La. and Rufus Freeman of Houma; sister, Peggy Portier of Houma; grandchildren, Heidi Bellanger, Madeline Cunningham, Valarie Green, Ian Cunningham, Lee A. Green III, Ashley and Jacob Skouby; and great-grandchildren, Cayden and Sage Bellanger and Tiana Spencer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Abbie Freeman and Annis Bergeron Freeman; husband, Emile Joseph Cunningham; and great-grandchild, Anyssa Thomas.
She was a homemaker and a parishioner of St. Gregory Catholic Church.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thursday, December 18, at St. Gregory Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
