
Odomes’ lifelong friend to testify against him

August 29, 2011Juanise Lovell Floyd, 44, a resident of Bayou Vista, La., died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011.
Mrs. Floyd was a devoted wife to the love of her life. She loved her kids and provided them with a home full of love, home cooked meals, her time and energy and her ability to communicate with them on any level.
She was the best daughter a mother could ask for, the most awesome sister that anyone could have. She enjoyed playing bingo and would give the shirt off her back to a stranger, friend or family member.
She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Joel Floyd; daughter, Shara Floyd; son, Joel Floyd II; mother, Geraldine Lovell; sisters, Jennine (Michael) Martin and Cresside Lovell; brothers, Leroy Jr. (Sheila) and Leeland (Katie) Lovell; mother and father-in-law, Margaret and Edward Floyd; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Leroy Lovell Sr.; and grandparents, Thelma and Gerald Lacoste, Oscar Lacoste Sr. and Nora and Vincent Lovell.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29 at Twin City Funeral Home with services to follow. Burial will be at Morgan City Cemetery. (Twin City)
