Kathleen Ann Juenke Babin, 65, a lifelong resident of Houma, LA., entered into her eternal rest with her Heavenly Father Thursday, February 22, 2007.
Visitation will be from 4 to 10 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, Allen “Vic” Babin Sr.; two sons, Allen J. Babin Jr. and Craig Andre Babin; one granddaughter, Sofia; one brother, Billy Juenke and wife, Carolyn, one sister, Carol Beth “Tookie” Vincent and husband, Fred; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a teacher at St. Francis de Sales, Maria Immaculata, Mulberry Elementary and most recently H. L. Bourgeois High School. She also assisted at Women’s Health and Wellness Center.
She attended St. Francis de Sales High School and Nicholls State University.
Her happiness and love of life was only foreshadowed by her love of family, friends and many students.
She loved traveling, “her flowers,” playing with her granddaughter, and was an avid bridge player.
She was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Parish.
