Kearney “Bobby” Arthur Mahler, 84, a native of Chackbay, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died at 9:07 p.m. Thursday, August 7.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Halley Mahler of Houma; his first wife, Lucinda Marie Leeder; one son, Al Mahler and wife Lee Mahler of Houma; two daughters, Susan Oncale and husband Dennis, and Nancy Davis and husband Doug, of Houma; six grandchildren, Monique Wright, Michelle Verret, Natalie Guidry, Nikki Guidry, Mark Guidry Jr. and Whitney Mahler; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alidore Mahler and Henrietta Chaisson Mahler; one daughter, Jennifer Mahler Deligans; former wife, Hilda Arceneaux Mahler; and one brother, Butley Mahler Sr.
He was a retired furrier with Mahler Inc. and a professional bowler. He graduated from McCalla Military School in Chattanooga, Tn., and attended Tulane University and Spencer Business College in New Orleans, La. He was a veteran of World War II where he served in the Burma China India Theatre. He was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
He was buried Terrebonne Memorial Park.
