Behind basin restoration, Maloz leads

Kenneth Patrick Duplantis, 71, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011.
Mr. Duplantis attended Nicholls State University and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He founded Eastway Seafood in 1977, was an avid gardener and outdoorsman and a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. He will be sadly missed by family and friends alike.
He is survived by his mother, Aline Duplantis; sons, Harvey Bertinot and Kenneth Duplantis Jr.; daughter, Kendra Duplantis; brother, Aaron Jr. (Cynthia) Duplantis; sisters, Justilia (Rudy) Cancienne, Yvonne (Wayne) Redden and Kathleen (Lynn) Hebert; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Aaron Duplantis Sr.
Burial was at Holy Family Catholic Church Cemetery. (Chauvin)
