January 21, 2014Kenneth Troy Hebert Sr., 89, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014.
Mr. Hebert was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He completed 32 B-17 missions and earned the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal. He retired from Texaco after 42 years as a senior drilling superintendent. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and gardening and was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
He is survived by his sons, Kenneth Jr. (Dianne), Timothy (Yvette) and Andre’ (Lisa) Hebert; daughters, Denise (James) Pitre, Diette (Dudley Jr.) Pellegrin, Lisa (Richard) Curlin and Gina (Thomas) Trahan; sister, Beverly Elston; 19 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Hebert; parents, Magnal and Hazel Hebert; brother, Leroy Hebert; sister, Earline Cuneo; and one grandchild.
Visitation will be 8 to 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Chauvin)
