Deacon Landry J. Matherne, 77, a native and resident of Des Allemands, La., died at 5:53 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2012.
Mr. Matherne was a deacon for 27 years in the New Orleans Diocese and a Scout Master.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Matherne; children, Terry (Anita), Wade (Elaine), Brian (Maria) and Brent (Maureen) Matherne and Jill Granier; siblings, Carrie Loupe, Clothilde Dempster and Martha Carlos; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Bertha Matherne; and brother, Roger Matherne.
Interment was at St. Gertrude Catholic Church Cemetery in Des Allemands. (Falgout)
