Lawrence Duncan, 58, a native of Thibodaux, La., and a resident of Cleveland, Oh., died Wednesday, July 9.
He is survived by his daughter, Lolita Jacquline Duncan of Cleveland; father Louis Fletcher of Thibodaux; one brother, Louis Duncan of North Carolina; seven sisters, Priscilla Fletcher, Christina A. Kennedy, Beverly Azema, Regina Miller, Rosemary Fletcher and Betty W. Daniels all of Thibodaux and Jacquline Washington of Houma, La.; his devoted care taker aunt, Lillie Mae Duncan; grandmother, Ceola Fletcher of Thibodaux; and a host of aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Duncan; one brother, Walter Lee Fletcher; one sister Doris Azema; grandmother Olivia Frank; and grandfathers, Ed Fletcher and Celestine Duncan.
He was Baptist and a U.S. Navy Veteran. His hobbies included fishing.
A grave side service was held Tuesday, July 15, at Young Ladies Benevolent Cemetery in Raceland, La.
Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
