Tourney gives teams early look at competition
December 29, 2009Lennis J. Paray, 70, a resident of Morgan City, La., and a native of Amelia, La., died at Teche Regional Medical Center Friday, Dec. 18, 2009.
Mr. Paray was a commercial fisherman and, later, a towboat captain. He retired as a supervisor of Water & Drainage. He enjoyed fishing and cooking, was a diehard Saints fan and loved watching wrestling.
He is survived by his daughter, Lindy (Clyde) Sauce; sons, Lennis (Brenda), Charles (Paula), Leslie and Lenny Paray; brother, William (Lela) Paray; sisters; Karrie (Wilbert) Lange, Emily (Rodnis) Thibodaux, Martha (Chip) Overbay, Alice Paray and Julie Paray; 11 grandchildren, Brian Blankenship, Jennifer Landry, Kalli Paray, Lennis R. Paray, Kasey Rink, Erin Howse, Mark Sauce, Dustin Paray, Derek Paray, Mary Paray and Leslie Paray; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Alice Fryou Paray; brother, Harry Paray; one grandchild, Charles Paray Jr.; two great-grandchildren, John Rink and Ariel Landry.
He is buried at St. Andrew’s Catholic Cemetery.
