Leo Paul “T-Paul” Pitre, 73, a native of Golden Meadow, La. and resident of Galliano, La. died Wednesday, December 26, 2007, at 2:50 p.m.

He is survived by his two sons, David and James Pitre; five daughters, Sarah Spurr, Ann Pitre, Jane Galjour, Margaret Terrebonne, and Tina Hebert; one brother, Brenton Pitre; one sister, Delphine “Nin” Terrebonne; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Mae Curole Pitre; his parents, Nocess and Sedonia Pitre; one half-brother, Nolty Vizier; and one grandson, Nicholas Pitre.

Leo was a devout Christian. He enjoyed working on cars and his boat. He also enjoyed dancing and welding. He was a commercial fisherman by trade.

Visitation is Friday, December 28, 2007, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., with the funeral to follow at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is Cut Off, La. He will be buried in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Cut Off.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
