Leola Grabert Griffin, 78, a native of Lockport, La. and resident of Raceland, La. died Sunday, December 9, 2007.

She is survived by one son, Louis Griffin, Jr.; one daughter, Gail Foret; four sisters, Elouise Eschette, Lillie Estay, Lorina Folse, and Louella Grabert; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Griffin, Sr.; her parents, Wildon and Noelie Waguespack Grabert; one son, Craig Griffin; one infant daughter; one brother, Deme Grabert; two sisters, Lula Mae Griffin and Loretta Estay; and one grandchild.

She was a member of St. Anthony Ladies Altar Society and a parishioner of St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church.

Visitation is Monday, December 10, 2007, from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. today at Falgout Funeral Home in Lockport and Tuesday, December 11, 2007, from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church in Mathews, La. She will be buried in Holy Savior Cemetery in Lockport.

Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
