Lester Paul Rome, 76, a native of Vacherie, La., and a resident of Kraemer, La., died Monday, Aug. 3.
He is survived by two daughters, Rose R. Hebert and husband Terry, and Mary R. Hotard and husband Rossie; one brother, O’neil Rome; two sisters, Neva Schexnayder and Pearl Scioneaux; and three grandchildren, Terilyn Hebert, Jerilyn Hebert and Lexi Hotard.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Adams Rome; and parents, Arsene Rome and Annette Stein Rome.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, a Bayou Boeuf volunteer fireman and fourth degree Knights of Columbus.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, at St. Lawrence the Martyr Church in Kraemer with mass to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
