Lester “Pork Chop” Gisclair, 72, a native and resident of Galliano, La., died Tuesday, Oct. 6.
He is survived by five sisters, Carrie Lou Gisclair, Audrey Mae Gisclair, Edith Cheramie, Gertie Cheramie and Theresa Gisclair.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Leoncia Duet Gisclair; four brothers, Norman, Cleo, Ivan and Claude Gisclair; and three sisters, Linda Bruce, Gladys Gisclair and Norma Gisclair.
He was Catholic. He was an oyster fisherman all his life.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off, La. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph co-Cathedral in Galliano with burial to follow at Cheramie Cemetery.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
